Weekly Bulletin 07/06/24

Whole School:

 

 

  • We’d like to thank all of the parents who were able to do planting with their children this week in support of the sustainable drainage systems project.

 

  • There is now a small selection of pre-loved uniform in the school office available to buy for a donation, just pay what you can. Previously unclaimed lost property uniform has been donated to the Sense charity in Bridgwater. Sense also has affordable pre-loved uniform for sale.

 

  • Class, Leavers and Sports photos will be on Wednesday 12th June.

 

  • On Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th of June Tycoon Club will be running a Father’s Day shop. This will take place at lunchtimes in Panthers class. Please see attached poster for further details.

 

  • Bridgwater library will be giving assemblies in school on Wednesday to talk about the Summer Reading Challenge.

  • Reports will be sent out via SIMs Parent again this year. Make sure you can log into your account so you don’t miss out. If you need any help, please contact the school office.

 

  • Did you know? Children who read books that offer opportunities to empathise with the characters have increased levels of empathy.

 

  • Please ensure you have ordered your child’s school lunch via SchoolGrid until the end of term. Children without an order will require a packed lunch from home.

                                           

 

 

 

 

                                       

Foundation Stage:

  • The Foundation Stage Bristol Aquarium trip on Thursday 20th June has a due date of 14th June 2024 for all consent and payments. If you haven’t already done so, please log into scopay to give consent and pay. Without consent your child will not be able to attend.

 

Year 1:

  • Year 1 phonics screening will be starting next week from the 10th June, it is really important children are in school for this screening. 

 

  • Year 1 will be having a healthy eating workshop in school on Tuesday 11th June.

 

  • Year 1 Minehead Steam Train trip is on Thursday 13th June, please ensure you sure you have given consent and paid on Scopay. If your child requires a school packed lunch, please select the ‘school trip’ option on SchoolGrid.

 

Year 2:

  • Year 2 swimming will be starting from next Monday the 10th of June until the 8th July. Please make sure you are sending your children in with their swimming kits.

Year 3:

  • Tigers class are going on their final trip to Fyne Court on Monday 10th June. If your child requires a packed lunch, please select the ‘school trip’ option on SchoolGrid. If you do not do this your child will not receive a packed lunch on Monday.

 

  • Year 3’s parent assembly is on the 18th of June at 14:30-15:15

 

Year 5:

  • Year 5 High Ropes trip is on Tuesday the 11th June. Please make sure you have completed the waiver form and returned it to the school office. Please ensure you have also given consent and paid via Scopay. Without consent and the waiver, your child will not be able to attend.

 

Year 6:

  • Year 6 will have a Caribbean Dance Workshop in school on Thursday this week.
