Weekly Bulletin 14/06/24

Whole School Weekly Bulletin 14/06/24

Whole School:

  • Reports will be sent out via SIMs Parent again this year. Make sure you can log into your account so you don’t miss out. If you need any help, please contact the school office.

  • Reminder: The school is closed on Friday 21st June for an inset day. Please do not send your children to school on this day.

  • Did you know? Children who read and are read to are more creative and imaginative because reading nurtures the disposition and skillset that are fundamental to a child’s creativity.

  • For your information the department for education guidelines have changed and now state that from September any term-time leave will not be authorised.

  • Next week is Art and DT week, throughout the week children will be making items to sell to parents. Years 1 to 6 will be selling their items in class on Thursday 20th June and Foundation stage will be selling their items on Wednesday 19th June, gates will open at 2:45pm. Items will range in price from 50p to £2.50 and monies raised will be used towards the purchase of a kiln for the school.

  • We are looking for any donations of duvet covers, sheets or curtains for the children to build dens with at lunchtimes. Any spare toy cars as well that you no longer need would be greatly appreciated. Please hand these into the office.

  • Please return any clothes that your child has been changed into as we are very low on spare trousers, pants, socks, tights and knickers especially in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Any donations of these items would be gratefully received.

Foundation Stage:

  • Reminder that all consents and payments need to be in for the Foundation Stage Bristol Aquarium trip on Thursday, without these your child will not be able to attend. If your child requires a packed lunch for this trip, please select the ‘school trip’ option on SchoolGrid.
